For a romantic proposal idea in Miami with a serious wow factor and an unforgettable experience, I recommend Area 31. Area 31 is on the sixteenth floor of Miami’s Kimpton EPIC Hotel. And boy, let me tell you… If you want to impress your love, a meal at this restaurant will surely do it, from the breathtaking panoramic view of the Biscayne Bay and Miami River to world-class sustainable cuisine. Drunken Dragon

Ok! This restaurant is off the chain. It is a Korean barbecue restaurant with a do-it-yourself style of tableside grilling combined with contemporary Asian tapas. Drunken Dragon is located on the west side of South Beach in a little strip mall without any identifying name or logo.

When my wife and I first went there and pulled into the strip mall, we thought the restaurant had gone out of business. There was no indication that the restaurant existed at this location (they now have a big sign outside on the building). I had to get out of my car, walk up to the building, and physically look for the restaurant. Luckily, I found an unmarked entrance that led to the restaurant.

Once my wife and I entered the Drunken Dragon, OMG! I promise you. You will not find anything like this restaurant anywhere here in Miami.

The Drunken Dragon restaurant is perfect for a more laid-back and romantic proposal. Their do-it-yourself tables and eclectic Asian menu makes for a more personal experience. A proposal at the Drunken Dragon will be unique and unforgettable.

Kyu

UPDATE (02/23) – Due to recent storms, this restaurant is temporarily closed for major repairs. They will be reopening in Spring 2023!

I took my wife here on a special occasion, and we were blown away by the service and the cuisine. We thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it and were sent on our way with our bellies full to the brim. For the life of me, I can’t remember whether they were Asian or South American-inspired. I blame it on a couple of cocktails and a bottle of wine :)! Nevertheless, what I remember most about this restaurant is that they have a unique way of serving their guest. We selected the chef’s special, and boy, were we in for a treat.

When we selected the chef’s special, we had no idea what was included in the chef’s special. They just kept bringing us exciting and succulent dishes. It was like a ten-course meal. Needless to say, my wife and I left the restaurant feeling like stuffed pigs, plus our doggie bags. Good thing we didn’t have to walk too far to get home.

I highly recommend this restaurant for a romantic proposal because it is unique. It is located in the heart of Miami’s Art District, Wynwood, and the service and food are beyond amazing.

Come to think of it now, yea, they are Asian-inspired – Ha-ha! They have an extensive bar with lots of Asian whiskies and sake. You name it, and they got it.
