01 – The Betsy Hotel Miami Beach

The Betsy Hotel is another fabulous Miami Beach wedding venue. It is located on the world-famous Ocean Drive in South Beach, across from the shimmering blue sea and swaying palm trees. This hotel specializes in stylish, sophisticated weddings characterize by classic glamor, endless grace, and an inclusive spirit.

A south beach landmark, the Betsy was built by Art Deco pioneer L. Murray Dixon in 1942, and American troops were among its first guests. In 2017, the Betsy expanded by purchasing and remodeling the historic Carlton Hotel. After the renovation of the Carlton Hotel, the two buildings were joined by an orb-shaped sky bridge. The ball shape architecture is a people stopper. It has been celebrated as an essential piece of Miami Beach public art. Today the Betsy is Ocean Drive’s only surviving example of Florida-Georgian architecture.

This is a perfect venue for the couple who is looking for a charming boutique venue with an artsy vibe in the heart of South Beach. However, the Betsy is more than just lovely – the graceful style of contemporary colonial design accented by Art Deco touches, and a tranquil retreat from the action makes it a heaven for your honeymoon. Have your wedding and honeymoon in one location steeped in luxury and the warm tropical beach breezes. What more could you ask for?

Furthermore, at the Betsy, you are surrounded by art and culture. Throughout the property, discover a collection of over 700 artworks, chat with a Writer in Residence in the Library, stumble upon a pop-up opera performance, or catch Miami’s best musicians every night in the Lobby.

For your wedding, choose from one of many impressive venue spaces. The Ocean Front Deck is one of Betsy’s most intimate and sweeping venues. It has stunning views of Lummus Park and the Atlantic ocean and is very spacious but secluded. Ocean Front Deck has two private bars, built-in lounge seating, and can accommodate up to 112 for sit-down dinners and 200 for standing receptions.

Considering a small intimate wedding? Then the Skyline Penthouse and Terrace may be what you need. Atop the Art Deco Wing, this loft-style penthouse and wrap around terrace boast 1,710 square feet of living and entertainment space. It also has a baby grand piano and a Viennese chandelier that spent 70 years in the Zimbabwe home of the family’s matriarch that owns the hotel. The Skyline Penthouse also attaches to three Larger Double Balcony Suites via a private elevator, making it a multi-suite complex for up to 14 guests.

Whether you’re planning an intimate wedding ceremony, an extravagant reception with a South Beach glam touch, Betsy’s beachside haven offers distinctive indoor and outdoor venues.

You won’t find much fanfare about The Setai Miami Beach Hotel online. Still, nevertheless, this magnificent hotel is one of Miami Beach’s best wedding venues. Located in the famous Art Deco District of South Beach, the Setai hotel is a beautiful historic architecture statement with modern flavor. The hotel consists of both the original Art Deco style building and a 40-story glass tower overlooking the turquoise blue sea and pearl white beaches.

Setai Miami Beach hotel is a tower of privacy and serenity wrapped in an oriental design style, pan-Asian cuisine, and graceful pools cape. It is the perfect wedding venue for brides and their guests who want to be in the center of all the South Beach happenings but can escape to a sanctuary of peace and calm. The hotel-style and character are sleek and chic in dark teak and brick flooring, which exudes a discrete luxury feeling.

04 – Villa Casa Casuarina | The Versace Mansion

The Villa Casa Casuarina, formerly known as the Versace Mansion, is located on the famous Ocean Drive in South Beach, Florida. This property is not well known as a Miami Beach wedding venue. However, it is a perfect fit for the eccentric couple looking for a historic venue with lots of fine arts and prominence to say “I Do.”

Casa Casuarina was initially built in 1930 by the architect, author, and philanthropist, Alden Freeman. Mr. Freeman was the heir to the Standard Oil fortune. In 1992, the Villa was purchased by the famous Italian fashion designer Gianni Versace. Gianni Versace renovated the property incorporating his own Italian influence throughout the house. The million mosaic pool is made up of thousands of twenty-four karat gold mosaic tiles inspired by Versace’s Marine Vanita print seen on his silk scarfs. Black wrought iron fence and gates trimmed with gold enclosed the mansion and kept the tourist prying eyes at bay.

Having your wedding at this exquisite venue will undoubtedly put you amongst royalties and celebrities. It is said that Princess Diana, Elton John, and Madonna were all friends of Versace and had spent time at the Villa visiting the designer. Today the Villa operates as a luxury boutique hotel, restaurant, and event venue and continues to attract celebrities. Beyonce and Jay Z, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Justin Bieber, Drake, Sylvester Stalone, and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ are some of the few who have been seen at the Villa.

Villa Casa Casuarina can accommodate up to 150 guests. It is mainly an outdoor event space, and it is priced on the high side. Nevertheless, given the history and the location, I think it is well worth having your wedding here. It would be epic, fun, and memorable!
