A Boca Raton Wedding like no other! As a wedding photographer, one of the things I absolutely love about South Florida is that there are so many cool places to get hitched. Boca Raton weddings do not come up often when one thinks of a place to get married in South Florida. However, Monica and Jonny “Jonny without the h” knows precisely where in Boca to have their epic celebration of love with friends and family. For these two lovebirds, the Lakeside Terrace in Boca provides a gorgeous backdrop for them to celebrate and dance the night away.
Monica and Jonny chose the Lakeside Terrace because it was close to the Catholic church, where they had their wedding ceremony. This Boca Raton wedding venue is located in west Boca and is a private South Florida wedding space. The place is surrounded by a lush landscape and a pristine lake with beautiful water fountains. Furthermore, the Lakeside Terrace has a complimentary honeymoon suite at the adjacent Hilton Boca Raton Suites, and Monica and Jonny got ready there – see the photos below.
Jonny and Monica’s wedding day kicked off with some getting-ready photos at the Hilton Boca Raton Hotel. Monica and her girls were all in robes and were busy getting their hair and makeup done. The girls were so much fun to be around – I could feel their energy and the love and friendship they share. Capturing the Champagne toast, Monica reading a letter from her soon-to-be husband, and her mom buttoning her up were some of the sweetest moments captured.
Meanwhile, two floors down, Jonny and his boys were almost entirely dressed. My second photographer was busy capturing the finishing touches as Jonny opens his gift from his soon-to-be wife.
The couple chose not to do the first look, so they travel in separate vehicles to the church for the wedding ceremony – it was incredibly sweet and beautiful. After the ceremony, I rode in the limo with the newlyweds back to the Hilton for some bridal party photos. Check out some of the fun bridal party photos below. After the bridal party photos were complete, I took Monica and Jonny to the north end of the lake for a newlywed couples photo session. Monica looks stunning! They didn’t need much direction – they were so tender and affectionate to each other it was magical.
By the time couple’s photo session was over – guests were already enjoying the cocktail hour on the terrace overlooking the lake. My second photographer and I stroll through the cocktail hour, capturing some timeless candid. The grand entrance was also a lot of fun and was followed by the couple’s first dance. The rest of the evening unfolds traditionally with toasts, cake cutting, dinner, and more dancing and partying.
Check out the beautiful photos below:
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed Monica and Jonny’s Boca Raton wedding, and I hope you enjoyed the story and the photos. Boca Raton Florida is such a unique place to tie the knot and create unforgettable memories.
